Rehearse

Privacy policy

Last updated 26 October 2026

Rehearse helps you prepare for job interviews. To do that, you share things that matter: your CV, your experience and your spoken answers. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and the choices you have.

Who we are

Rehearse (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

For anything about your data, email hello@rehearseinterviews.co.uk.

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address and name, and your target role if you add one. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
  • Your CV: the file you upload and the text extracted from it.
  • Your stories: the STAR stories drafted for you, and anything you write or edit.
  • Job adverts: adverts you paste in, and the analysis and questions created from them.
  • Questions you plan to ask an interviewer, and their order.
  • Interview answers: your recordings, their transcripts, your self-ratings and the feedback on them.
  • Usage records: when you use features such as story drafting or feedback, so we can apply fair-use limits and manage costs.
  • Technical data: standard information your browser sends when you visit, such as your IP address, kept in our hosting provider’s server logs.

Please don’t include sensitive information you don’t need to. CVs don’t usually need details such as your date of birth, health, religion or ethnicity, and Rehearse doesn’t need them. If your CV includes them, consider removing them before you upload it.

Cookies and browser storage

Rehearse doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser’s storage only for things the service needs to work: keeping you signed in, your settings, your recordings and saved interviewer voice clips. Because this storage is strictly necessary, we don’t need to ask for consent for it. If we add analytics in future, we’ll update this policy and ask where the law requires.

Security

Your data is sent over encrypted connections. Your CV, stories and jobs are protected so that only your account can access them, and CV files are kept in private storage. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong email account and tell us at hello@rehearseinterviews.co.uk if you think your account has been misused.

Age

Rehearse is for people aged 16 and over. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page when how we use data changes, and tell you about significant changes by email or in the app before they take effect. See also our terms of use.
